AR - Augmented Reality
AR is the augmentation of visible reality by means of digital (virtual) illustrations and information.
Real objects are detected by means of intelligent image recognition methods or coding methods, for example with mobile devices such as smartphones or web cameras. These objects are then linked to matching digital contents.
Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), users act in the real world.
Examples
An example for this are product labels or packaging which the consumer takes a picture of and can access digital additional information, for example about product components, use and fields of application.
