PDF/VT
= Portable Document Format/Variable Data and Transactional Printing. PDF/VT is an ISO standard (ISO 16612-2) that meets the requirements for personalised print documents for direct marketing or transaction printing of business documents such as invoices, delivery notes, etc.
Variants
- PDF/VT-1: All document parts must be saved within the same PDF file.
- PDF/VT-2: Reference to external page components in other documents is permitted
- PDF/VT-2s: Here the processing as data stream is possible, which can contain one or more PDF/VT files and references.
PDF/VT is based on other PDF standards such as PDF/X-4 and PDF/X-5, which support transparencies, CMYK, spot colours, multichannel colors, and the unique definition and multiple use of text, images or graphics.
