Screen angle
Screen dots are used during printing to reproduce gradients of tonal values in images or colour mixtures. With multicolour printing, several colours (e.g. CMYK) are overprinted and the screen dots of each colour are given a certain screen angle. The screen angles are selected so that an unwanted Moiré formation is avoided.
Examples of screen angles:
- Cyan: 15 degrees
- Magenta: 75 degrees
- Yellow: 0 degrees
- Black: 45 degrees
