TIFF
= Tagged Image File Format. TIFF is a commonly used data format for saving images for print documents. Combination with compression methods such as JPEG, or LZW is possible and can reduce the amount of data. Pixel data (Bitmap), no vector data, is stored.
Proliferation
TIFF is standardised and can be processed by all major application programs and operating systems in prepress.
