Type1 font
Another term for Type1 font is PostScript font. It is a font format developed by Adobe and used on Mac and Windows computers.
Fields of application
Type 1 fonts were specially developed for use on prepress output devices, but can also be output using office printers. A font can contain 256 different characters and is stored in two files. Type-1 fonts will be replaced by Open-Type fonts in the future.
