Workflows contain consecutive steps which form an entity.
Example
In a web-to-print, web-to-publish system or marketing portal a document is individualised, then a parent instance receives an e-mail notification with the request to release and after the release is given, the document is forwarded to an FTP server.
Commercial workflow
This area includes commercial functions following the shopping cart order, e.g.: automatic creation of business documents (order confirmations, invoices, delivery notes), statistical analyses, grouping of orders for collective invoices.
Technical workflow
These are workflow functions for the technical production of printed materials, e.g. for the creation of collected forms.
Correction workflow
Correction workflow which is used for the coordination and release of documents between customers and media producers. Possible features include the exchange of comments, notes, version management or remote proofing.
