Conversion rate

The conversion rate is a measure within the online marketing to determine the effectiveness of an advertising measure.


For example, if you want to know how many visitors of an online shop have converted to customers, the conversion rate is determined. The ratio of the number of visits to the number of purchases made is calculated for this purpose. The key figure can be determined using the following formula:

Conversion Rate (in %) = (Purchases/Visitors) x 100

The higher the percentage, the more successful the measure.
