Cost-per-Mille (CPM)

CPM is a pricing model for online advertising, also known as Pay-per-Impression (PPI), within the online marketing. The letter M in the abbreviation stands for the Roman number thousand.

In contrast to the Cost-per-Click (CPC) model, this type of settlement also incurs costs if an ad is viewed without clicking on it. Advertisers thus pay a predetermined amount for a thousand visual contacts of an advertisement in a certain period of time.
