Domain
A domain is the public name of an Internet page, such as www.melaschuk-medien.de, under which it is accessed.
Domain structure
A domain can be divided into three parts. For the example of the domain name www.melaschuk-medien.de '.de' is the top level domain, 'melaschuk-medien' the second level domain and 'www.' the third level domain. Each domain in the internet is assigned a IP address for unique identification.
