HTML tag

HTML tags are commands within the HTML source code whose information is interpreted by the webbrowser and then executed in the browser window. HTML tags are enclosed by the characters <>. Within these characters is a command that the HTML browser must execute.

Types and delimitation

The most common commands include various headline levels (H tags), paragraphs, highlights, bullets, image tags or title tags. However, these commands are only used to structure website content. When designing a website, the formatting language CSS forms the basis for this.
