TCP/IP is a communication protocol consisting of two components. "IP" identifies the locations of two computers and "TCP" organises the communication and enables the transmission of information.
Range of application
TCP/IP is fundamental for data exchange within the WWW or a central network based on the Client server model and can be described as the communication language of the internet.
