Translation management
Translation management systems are used in-house for the translation of advertising materials and marketing documents.
The creation of multilingual publications is often a separate requirement for internationally operating companies or media houses, which is covered by solutions for Product Information Management (PIM), in marketing portals or in editorial systems.
Advantages of system-based solutions
A particularly time-critical factor in non-system-supported translation processes are the correction processes between the translators and layout or media production, which usually take place by e-mail. When web-based systems are used, on the other hand, translations are carried out centrally either at database or document level, thus allowing direct, time-saving access to data and documents at any time. The additional option of direct layout control by means of a preview by the translators and immediate text adjustment means that translation processes can be handled in an even more time- and cost-saving manner.
Special features support the translation process, such as e.g. two-window view, the integration of terminology databases or data exchange with translation memory systems (TMS).
