Important elements are authentication methods and encryption techniques. VPN enables the encryption of the current internet connection in real time and thus prevents the eavesdropping of transmitted information, regardless of the location, terminal and type of internet connection.

Prerequisite

Prerequisite is the connection via VPN protocol to a so-called log-in server after allocation of an internal IP (Internet Protocol). This means that computers outside the encrypted VPN network cannot access the data exchange. Just like firewalls VPNs should protect companies against unwanted access to the company network.
